
Francis Adewale, Executive President
Executive President of AHANA, Eastern Washington’s leading Multi-Ethnic Business Association. Elected as President-Elect of the Washington State Bar Association in May 2024, he previously served two terms as treasurer. Francis played a key role in establishing Spokane Community Court and is deeply committed to community and movement lawyering, serving on several boards in Eastern Washington, including Refugee Connections Spokane and the Spokane Homeless Coalition.
He is a former chair of the Washington State Access to Justice Board and a member of the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project board. Francis is also a founding member of the Washington Statewide Reentry Council, reappointed three times by Governor Jay Inslee. In addition to his legal practice as an assistant public defender, he teaches as adjunct faculty at Whitworth University and Gonzaga Law School. A graduate of Eastern Washington University, Francis has received multiple awards for his contributions to human rights and legal professionalism.
