This Economic Development Summit addresses the needs and disparate treatment of Central and Eastern Washington BIPOC communities, consultants, and contractors in endeavoring to receive equal opportunity and fair treatment for receiving state contracts.
The summit will cover:
- Affirmative Action status in Washington in light of Governor’s January 2022 Executive Orders 22-01, 22-02
- Barriers to BIPOC consultants and contractors receiving awards
- Legislative Panel to address elimination of barriers to BIPOC Contract Awards
