AHANA is proud to be one of 30 key partners in the Washington State Department of Commerce’s Small Business Resiliency Network, supporting multi-ethnic and diverse small businesses across the state as they recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. Since joining the Network, AHANA has connected over 270 business owners to critical federal and state resources, helping them not only survive but begin to rebuild.
AHANA’s SBRN Technical Assistance team of Ana Marie Caldwell and Huijen Chantel Fan is led by Ben Cabildo and Sanya Ala. The team provides business owners personalized one-on-one support to navigate loans and grants, digital navigation assistance, and ongoing business coaching. The team is committed to ensuring that small business owners have the resources, knowledge, and mentorship they need to grow and succeed. With a focus on practical support and community partnerships, AHANA remains dedicated to strengthening the resilience of small businesses in Eastern Washington.
Through SBRN, AHANA provides educational workshops designed to equip business owners with the knowledge they need to thrive. These workshops cover topics such as financial literacy, business planning, marketing strategies, and digital tools, providing valuable skills for navigating today’s complex business environment.
The Networks’ 2024 Small Business Resiliency Loan (SBRL) Pilot Program, helped multi-ethnic business owners secure credit for the first time or repair or improve their credit scores. Through this program, AHANA has assisted 34 Spokane-based business owners in securing a total of $384,000 in funding from the Department of Commerce.
